Company Culture, Why it Matters!
Thursday, August 1st, 2019
According to an article in the Harvard Business Review:
“Culture guides discretionary behavior and it picks up where the employee handbook leaves off. Culture tells us how to respond to an unprecedented service request. It tells us whether to risk telling our bosses about our new ideas, and whether to surface or hide problems. Employees make hundreds of decisions on their own every day, and culture is our guide. Culture tells us what to do when the CEO isn’t in the room, which is of course most of the time.”
We say it all the time. In order to hire and retain good employees they have to feel the warm and fuzzy click! Here are a few reasons we found that make the connection worthwhile.
- Engagement- Employees want and need a positive workplace environment, advancement opportunities, and the security to express ourselves. We believe in a team mentality.
- Motivation-When employees enjoy their work and identify with the values and goals performance goes up!
- Customer Satisfaction-Our employees are our company’s representatives. If they’re engaged at work and believe in the company and the brand, it will come across to our customers.
At Testerman, we believe in these core values and creating a valuable culture for our employees!
