Third Party, What?
Thursday, May 2nd, 2019
Occasionally your insurance company may utilize what is called a Third-party administrator to help with your property claim. Third-party administrators (TPAs) provide a variety of services to the insurance industry. For most insurance companies, they help expedite claims while providing timely customer service and helping to maximize a customer’s assets, offering extended warranties and loads of attention to detail. Some well-known companies (TPAs) such as Contractor Connection, or Alacrity may ring a bell to some policyholders.
Testerman Restoration is a preferred contractor for several insurance companies and TPAs. More to the point, you’re asking, what does this mean to me -the average policyholder with a property claim? If your insurance carrier utilizes a TPA on your claim, you will be “assigned” an approved contractor in your zip code. It is your choice to use a third party, and your choice which contractor you’ll use; but we, as approved vendors, are vetted and hand picked as some of the best in the region. If you chose to partner with Testerman, TPA or not, you can expect:
- High Level of Customer Service – During our program work assigned by TPAs, we are scored on how quickly we respond to a claim, how quickly we provide estimates and how quickly we complete our work. These are all things that are important to the affected homeowner during every claim. This has helped us to provide excellent customer service to our customers and clients, many who have sent us positive feedback stating their appreciation during their claim.
- Cost Efficiency and Set Pricing – One of the reasons TPAs were originally developed was to help make claims more cost efficient. We use the same estimating software as the insurance carrier, so our pricing matches every time. This takes out any discrepancies or a source of discontent with the insured. It also eliminates the need for a homeowner to waste time shopping for a restoration company based on the price.
- Improved Service Time – TPAs have strict reporting requirements to track response times and work progress. Our company has a solid reputation for getting buildings built quickly. We draw from their experience and processes to set dates and ensure that we’re efficient and meet deadlines established at the start of the project.
- Maintaining Qualified and Well Trained Staff – Each of our staff members have been trained and certified in their area of expertise, as well as have had background checks prior to entering an insured’s property. This is how we can confidently comply with TPA programs as well as reduce risks of deviation from our reputable service.
We continually strive to improve our speed, efficiency, customer service, and staff development, as we speculate that TPAs and the restoration industry will continue to expect more from us. Staying current, consistent and compliant is one of the many ways Testerman Restoration sets itself apart!
If you or someone you know has sustained damage to a home or a business, we are always ready to help with the highest level of service, TPA or not! Call us up 24/7 at 865-691-1169.
Happy Mother’s Day to all of our favorites!
