Q: What is your role at Testerman Restoration?
A: General Manager. I have been with the company for 6 years.
Q: Before working at TR what was the most fun, unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
A: I had my own remodeling company, which was very interesting until about the year 2000 when the remodeling market started crashing.
Q: How did you first learn about Testerman Restoration?
A: I met Ben on a job in 2012 while contracting with State Farm during the hail storms.
Q: How has TR helped you in your career development?
A: I have learned a lot about different areas of employees’ understanding in the unique restoration market. Also, being complacent in years past, I have become better than ever at technology and software.
Q: If you could switch your job with anyone else within the company whose job would you want?
A: Ben Testerman, of course.
Q: What has been your favorite project at TR?
A: I really enjoy working on unique projects, specifically one we completed in the Fourth and Gill historic district. It was a challenge to complete the job while preserving the element of history.
Q: What is your favorite part about working for TR?
A: I really enjoy the employees and working with the different personalities. I feel like fun loving people are one of the best parts of any business. We make things interesting and enjoyable here.
Q: What is your proudest moment at TR?
A: Watching the development and implementation of a good plan. Recently we have had the best profits in several years and have gone from 0-5 on our program contractor scores all because every employee got on board, believed in the system and worked hard to see it through.

Q: What is something not many folks know about you?
A: I love to cook and am a connoisseur of BBQ, -and believe it or not, I am a good carpenter.
Q: Do you have a favorite outdoor or indoor activity?
A: Any project around the house.
Q: What has been your best vacation?
A: 2010 PGA Tour in Scottsdale Arizona.
Q: Do you have a funny or embarrassing moment that happened at work to share?
A: I’ll say I get “unique” birthday gifts from people at work.
Q: Do you have a favorite quote or line from a movie?

Q: Do you have a work nickname?
A: “Donnie”
Q: You are happiest when?
A: Different times throughout the day. I try to live in the moment’s experiences.
Q: If you were a hot dog, and you were starving, would you eat yourself?
A: With Chili.
